His imagination combined with an intriguing background led this Cornell University Law School graduate to the Presidency of Postal Instant Press. Naturally, his franchising career didn't start at the top. He earned his entrepreneurial stripes. Just out of law school, Ken landed in New York City acting as House Counsel, V.P. of Glemby International. Shortly thereafter, this privately held, 1300 unit consumer products and services company promoted him to Corporate Senior Vice President, and sent him to London, England to oversee the company's entire foreign operations, including its African expansion. Within six short years, Ken efforts had the foreign operations contributing 25% of the organization's total profits. Wow! With those bragging rights in hand, he stepped into the role of V.P. for The Barbers, a franchise based in Minneapolis, MN, specializing in hairstyling for men and women. Ken's success in rapidly growing the franchise propelled him to the position of President and CEO of Postal Instant Press. While at PIP, his experience in operations, marketing, and organizational development enabled him to lead a significant repositioning of the organization. Most recently, Ken has been actively involved in franchise consulting. He led a definitive study to determine the viability of franchising in support of economic privatization in Russia. His clients included Elizabeth Arden, Phyto Products, France, Transportation Capital Corp. USA, and Kane-Miller Corp. USA. As you can see, Ken is something of a franchise himself. |
